We believe AI should make fundraising work easier, but not less human: we've built our product with a core belief that AI should supplement—not replace—the work of fundraising professionals.

DonorAtlas was built to reduce the time you spend on manual research and drudging through incomplete or inaccurate donor profiles, and to help you get in front of the right donors, with the right information. AI allows us to process and analyze massive amounts of data, explain it in an understandable way, and personalize insights and recommendations to you: think of DonorAtlas as a team of a thousand researchers working for you 24/7.

Here’s how we put our belief in responsible AI into action:

1. We cite our sources. For every data point in the DonorAtlas platform, we link to the source so you can understand where information comes from. We don't give any chances for our AI to make up information, so you can be sure that the information you see is accurate.
2. We keep humans in the loop. All AI features undergo rigorous internal reviews and data checks by our team. Additionally, users have the ability to report any issues in the DonorAtlas platform, and these issues are reviewed carefully by our team.
3. We don’t put AI where it doesn’t belong. The work of building relationships with donors is where you shine most–we help with the research and prep work so you can focus on being a great relational fundraiser.
4. Explainability. We ensure our AI models always explain their reasoning, so you always understand where data comes from.

Responsible AI goes past just the data: we prioritize the privacy, security, and resiliency of our platform to ensure that your data is secure and our platform is safe.
